The proposed Modena Town Square integrates places to live, shop, dine, play, and worship in a masterplanned community. With around 1,500 residential units, the plan calls for a range of housing styles and sizes. A variety of building heights, from six- to 12-storey garden apartments, would ensure a better flow of natural ventilation.
While green design is usually equated with expensive building costs, this mixed-use community strikes a balance between sustainability and affordability. RDAK Land partners with Palafox Associates to create the master plan for the first phase of development of the more than 20,000-square-meter property in Cebu City.
The Master Planning of San Vicente, Palawan as a Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone is a finalist in the category for International Award for Planning Excellence at the 2016 Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence. Finalists have been recognized for their national contribution to planning and demonstrate how significant schemes can be delivered speedily through the planning and other consents systems.
The whole day affair included an exhibit of the architecture, planning, engineering, and interior design works of these multi-disciplinary firms. Guests were also able to meet the people behind the Palafox teams, including Palafox Associates’ Managing Partner, Karima Palafox, and Palafox Architecture Group’s President, Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr.
Palafox Associates recently succeeded in its bid for the review and update of Zamboanga City’s Land Use Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and its Comprehensive Development Plan. The agreement was signed last 16 December 2015, represented by Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco and Principal Architect-Urban Planner Felino Palafox, Jr. Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde and Managing Partner Karima Palafox stood as witnesses.
