Topping Off Ceremony for the Crown Regency Grand Paradise Bohol

On October 22, 2021, Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts held its Topping Off Ceremony for Crown Regency Grand Paradise, its first property development in Bohol. This celebratory event was led by Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts’ Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Susan King-Bernardo; Executive Assistant to the COO, Ms. Richelle King; and Director, Mr. Arthur King. Distinguished guests who joined the ceremony included Mr. Roland Oconer, Construction Manager of Rider Levett Bucknall Philippines, Inc. and other members of RLB; Mr. Ben Ponio and the rest of the team from BSP & Co; and Ar. Remil Jusayan and Ar. Stephen Ralota of Palafox Architecture Group.

The Crown Regency Paradise is an upcoming four-star hotel and premium waterfront development with five-star architectural designs, interior design, and engineering designs. This future premier tourist destination and getaway will feature world-class facilities such as 558 rooms that include 10 junior suites, eight family and honeymoon villas; a 1,000-capacity convention center; a 1,000-square-meter swimming pool; food and entertainment outlets; a gym and spa; and a VIP lounge area, among others. Crown Regency Paradise has a very strategic location. The breathtaking view of Songculan Lake and proposed lush green landscaping to be interlaced in the development will create a paradise, which future guests will surely enjoy.

The development is envisioned to be an architectural landmark. The inspiration for the designs is modern tropical architecture with green architecture features that maximize natural light and ventilation. The vibrant colors of the interiors mimic Birds of Paradise, which is considered the treasure of Bohol. The use of natural materials like bamboo and rattan adds to the tropical vibe, and incorporating modern and traditional Filipino elements makes the interiors unique, memorable, and identifiable. The architectural facade of the hotel is complemented by a combination of cascading pools that represent the famous Loboc River.

We at Palafox Associates and Palafox Architecture Group would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Susan King-Bernardo, the King Family, and the J. King and Sons Company for the opportunity and privilege to be the architects, designers, planners, and engineers of this prestigious  project and for the valuable insights they contributed to this project. We would also like to acknowledge and thank our engineering consultants — Guevarra and Partners Inc., PCS Philippines Inc., and R.S. Gutierrez Engineering Design and Consultancy for their expertise and services.
