The architectural design of the new Third Atrium Building aligns with the design aesthetic and material vocabulary of the existing Asian Development Bank (ADB) building. It harmonizes with the existing institutional character and green landscape of the complex, aiming to minimize the new building’s environmental impact on its surroundings. The inclusion of a pocket garden serves to accommodate social activities, maximize the use of natural sunlight and wind through wide windows and glass ceilings, and promote energy efficiency. The Asian Development Bank ensures that the Third Atrium complies with the minimum Gold Rating for LEED and EHSMS (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) sustainability requirements.
