• NEW YORK (Oct 21, 2014) Managing Partner and Senior Urban Planner of Palafox Associates, Karima Palafox has been recognized by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as one of the Urban Land 40 Under 40. The recognition program honors the world’s top 40 real estate and land use leaders and visionaries under the age of 40. Karima Palafox is the only Southeast Asia honored at the program.

  • A MAJOR LOCAL COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS player is set to revitalize the old sections of Davao’s downtown. Felcris Hotels and Resorts Corporation’s flagship project, Felcris Centrale, will finally open its doors to the Davaoeños this October. The first phase of the project includes the mall and BPO building. The second phase of the project, the development’s hotel and residential tower, is still under construction.

  • At the Urban Land Institute “Lunch & Learn” session last July 11 at the Regus offices of the Enterprise Center in Makati City, discussions centered around the rapid increase of the Philippine population, and its seemingly unstoppable migration towards the urban and metropolitan centers.

    Karima Patricia V. Palafox, Senior Urban Planner and Partner of Palafox Associates, revealed to attendees that every hour, 60 more people are added to Metro Manila's population (one person every minute), making it the world's fastest growing city.

  • Pedestrians crossing Quezon Boulevard in the city of Manila no longer have to brave the dingy Raon footbridge and Quezon bridge underpass to get to the other side. A new footbridge opened its services to pedestrians last September 17, which is not only closer to the Quiapo Church, but is much safer to cross on.
